Kumbhalgarh is a stronghold in Rajasthan’s Rajasmand district, located in the Aravalli Range. Kumbhalgarh, a Merwar fortress, is a World Heritage Site and the second-largest fort in India after Chittorgarh Fort. The fort’s walls, cover around 12 square kilometres and run for approximately 36 km, making it one of the world’s longest walls, second only to China’s Great Wall! Here are a few places you can visit in your Kumbhalgarh   Trip:

Kumbhalgarh Fort is a Mewar stronghold on the western slope of the Aravalli Hills in Rajasthan’s Rajsamand District. It is well-known and recognized as a World Heritage Site included among Rajasthan’s Hill Forts. Kumbhalgarh, built and enlarged by Rana Kumbha between the 15th and 19th centuries, is also the birthplace of Maharana Pratap, the renowned ruler and warrior of Mewar. A must visit in your Kumbhalgarh   Tour.

Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Rajasthan’s Rajsamand district. It encircles sections of Udaipur, Rajsamand, and Pali, covering a total surface area of 578 square kilometres and spanning through the Aravalli hills. The wildlife sanctuary is named after the old Kumbhalgarh Fort, which it includes.

Badal Mahal is also included in the main fort. It is separated into two sections: Zanana Hall for ladies and Mardana Hall for men. Both of these parts have great architecture. The view of the surrounding region from the top of the tower is very breathtaking.

The Neelkanth Mahadeo Temple is next to the fort. It is devoted to Lord Shiva, who is represented by a 6-foot Lingam in the temple. This god is one of the select few that the villagers adore and maintain.

This shrine is located just beneath the Kumbhalgarh Fort. It had four massive stones with inscriptions on them, but they were moved to the Udaipur museum.

Vedi Temple, located inside the grounds of Kumbhalgarh Fort at Hanuman Pol in Kumbhalgarh, is a respected Jain temple presided over by the local deity- Goddess Vedi. The temple, which is octagonal in shape and sits on 36 pillars, was erected by Rana Kumbha in recognition of the pilgrims’ sacrifice. Maharana Fateh Singh later restored it.
